Generalized Lie ideals in ★-prime rings

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1992
This paper analyses certain subgroups, called generalized Lie ideals, of the Lie ring \(K\) of skew symmetric elements of a \(*\)-prime ring \(R\) with involution. If \(V^{(n)}(K)\) is defined inductively by setting \(V^{(1)}(K) = [V,K]\) and \(V^{(n + 1)}(K) = [V,V^{(n)}(K)]\) then the additive subgroup \(V\) of \(K\) is said to be a generalized Lie ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

A construction of some ideals in affine vertex algebras

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
We study ideals generated by singular vectors in vertex operator algebras associated with representations of affine Lie algebras of types A and C. We find new explicit formulas for singular vectors in these vertex operator algebras at integer and half ...

Nilpotent Ideals in Lie and Anti-Lie Triple Systems

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1995
The author introduces a notion of nilpotent ideal for Lie and anti-Lie triple systems (of finite dimension over a field of characteristic \(\neq 2\)) which is different from the one given by \textit{N. Kamiya} [J. Algebra 158, 226-232 (1993)], and also notes that some of Kamiya's theorems are false.

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Differential identities, Lie ideals, and Posner’s theorems [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 1988
This paper uses the theory of differential identities to obtain generalizations of two well-known results of \textit{E. C. Posner} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 8, 1093--1100 (1958; Zbl 0082.03003)]. A number of such generalizations appear in the literature and the purpose here is to give a uniform treatment which yields essentially all of these, and gives new

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Algorithms for Majority Decoding of Group Codes

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2015
We consider a problem of constructive description and justification of the algorithms necessary for a practical implementation of the majority decoder for group codes specified as left ideals of groupalgebras.

Pentagonal 2D Altermagnets: Material Screening and Altermagnetic Tunneling Junction Device Application

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,
