A new accelerated aging procedure for cable life tests
Electric Power Systems Research, 1996A new accelerated aging procedure for cable life tests has been proposed in this paper. The objective has been to minimize the total test costs using cable samples subject to the constraint that all relavant cable characteristics should be preserved by the samples.

Battery aging test design during first and second life
2020 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC), 2020A significant amount of retired lithium-ion car battery will be available by 2030. As an opportunity, they could be used to power less demanding applications while satisfying environmental and economic goals. Their eligibility to new applications can be assess by the means of two approaches: performing fast characterization tests or using their first ...

The Danish Purpose in Life test‐Short Form (PIL‐SF): Validation and age effects
Scandinavian Journal of Psychology, 2021The present article reports a study conducted to develop and validate a Danish translation of the Purpose in Life test‐Short Form (PIL‐SF) and examine age effects on this eudemonic measure. The study examined the reliability, unidimensionality, and construct validity of the Danish PIL‐SF using a large and representative sample (N = 4,849).

The Competing Aging Effects on SRAM Operating Life Tests
IEEE Transactions on Device and Materials Reliability, 2019The static random access memory (SRAM) is generally used in the technology qualification vehicle (TQV) in the semiconductor industries (e.g., assess process maturity and reliability risks). It is well known that the minimum operating voltage shift ( $\Delta $ Vccmin) will be better if write-dominated is observed, and it will be worse for a read ...

Prenatal Testing in the Genomic Age
Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2015To use a decision-analytic model to assess a comprehensive set of outcomes of prenatal genetic testing strategies among women of varying ages.We assessed outcomes of six testing strategies incorporating diagnostic testing with chromosomal microarray, multiple marker screening, cell-free DNA screening, and nuchal translucency screening alone, in ...

Aging and life testing of transformer insulation systems in polydimethylsiloxane
1977 EIC 13th Electrical/Electronics Insulation Conference, 1977The paper describes accelerated aging studies on sealed tube specimens and functional life tests on distribution transformers which contained SF-97(50) silicone liquid and solid insulation normally used in oil-filled transformers. The results indicate that silicone oil is compatible with the solid insulation tested, and that the aging characteristics ...

Using Accelerated Life Tests to Estimate Time to Software Aging Failure
2010 IEEE 21st International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering, 2010Software aging is a phenomenon defined as the continuing degradation of software systems during runtime, being particularly noticeable in long-running applications. Aging-related failures are very difficult to observe, because the accumulation of aging effects usually requires a long-term execution.

Nonparametric Testing for Unknown Age (UBAL) Class of Life Distribution
Journal of Testing and Evaluation, 2019Abstract In this article, a test statistic for testing exponentiality versus a used better than aged in Laplace transform ordering class of life distribution based on a U-statistic is proposed. Pitman’s asymptotic efficiencies of the test are calculated and compared to other tests. The percentiles of this test statistic are tabulated for

Costs of Age Replacement under Accelerated Life Testing with Censored Information
2022Accelerated life testing (ALTg) helps manufacturers to predict the various costs associated with the product under the warranty policy. The main aim of undertaking ALTg is the extended time of today’s manufactured goods, the small-time among design and make public, and the difficulty of analysis of items that are continuously used in ordinary ...

Negative life events and the adjustment of school-age children: Testing protective models
Journal of Clinical Child Psychology, 1998Investigated the association between negative life events and protective factors in predicting the adaptive, emotional, and behavioral functioning of school-age children. Three possible models of this relation were tested using hierarchical analyses: the compensatory model, the challenge model, and the immunity/vulnerability model.
