Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.

Optimising age-replacement and extended non-renewing warranty policies in lifecycle costing [PDF]
This paper analyses the life cycle cost of equipment protected by both base and extended warranty policies from a consumer's perspective. We assume that the equipment has two types of failure: minor and catastrophic.

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

LIFE CYCLE ANALYSIS (LCA) FOR SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE [PDF]
Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), a kind of cradle–to–grave paradigm based instrumentfor measuring the product sustainability by analyzing energy, cost, and environ-mental impacts that would be spent and occur along the product–life–cycle, isone of mechanisms ...

A generic tool for cost estimating in aircraft design [PDF]
A methodology to estimate the cost implications of design decisions by integrating cost as a design parameter at an early design stage is presented. The model is developed on a hierarchical basis, the manufacturing cost of aircraft fuselage panels ...
