An experimental study on coagulation of polystyrene spheres dispersed in density-matched liquid [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
To simulate a low gravity (microgravity) environment to some extent for aqueous polystyrene (PS) dispersions, buoyancy by gravity is offset through a density-matching method.

Gardiquimod Nanoemulsion Targets Cutaneous Leishmaniasis Lesions Reducing Systemic Toxicity and Parasite Burden

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoemulsion delivery of a TLR7 agonist enhances safety and promotes colocalization with Leishmania‐infected macrophages in skin lesions, enabling a ∼2‐log reduction in parasite burden. However, tissue‐level constraints and TLR‐driven regulatory feedback generate a mixed immune response that limits complete parasite clearance.

Glycosaminoglycans as Tools to Decipher the Platelet Tumor Cell Interaction: A Focus on P-Selectin

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
Tumor cell−platelet interactions are regarded as an initial crucial step in hematogenous metastasis. Platelets protect tumor cells from immune surveillance in the blood, mediate vascular arrest, facilitate tumor extravasation, growth, and finally ...
