Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Atoms in intense ultrashort laser pulses and the absolute phase [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Temperature-dependent Raman-active phonon modes and electron−phonon coupling in β-Ga2O3 microwire

open access: yesApplied Physics Express
The lattice vibration and electron-phonon coupling (EPC) in β -Ga _2 O _3 microwire are systematically investigated. The β -Ga _2 O _3 microwire that is (020)-oriented shows 14 Raman peaks, with all their FWHM narrower than those of (100)-oriented β -Ga ...

Different effects of single and fractionated light delivery regimes in photodynamic therapy with hypericin on HT-29 cells in vitro

open access: yes, 2009
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is an alternative cancer cure which involves the selective uptake and retention of a photosensitizer in a cancer tissue, followed by irradiation with light of a specific wavelength to kill tumour cells via the production of ...
