Generalized parton distributions of the pion in a covariant Bethe-Salpeter model and light-front models

open access: yes, 2010
The generalized parton distributions of the pion are studied within different light-front approaches for the quark-hadron and quark-photon vertices, exploring different kinematical regions in both the valence and non- valence sector.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Pulse-height light-scatter distributions using flow-systems instrumentation.

open access: yes, 1976
Several laboratories have recently been making light-scatter measurements on cells and other particles using flow-systems instrumentation. We at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, as well as others, have obtained multimodal pulse-height distributions

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Skewed generalized parton distributions of proton from basis light-front quantization

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
We obtain all the leading-twist quark generalized parton distributions (GPDs) inside the proton at nonzero skewness within the basis light-front quantization framework.

Extreme value distributions for dependent jointly ln,p-symmetrically distributed random variables

open access: yesDependence Modeling, 2016
A measure-of-cone representation of skewed continuous ln,p-symmetric distributions, n ∈ N, p > 0, is proved following the geometric approach known for elliptically contoured distributions.

Generalized Transverse-Momentum Dependent Parton Distributions in Light-Cone Quark Models.

open access: yes, 2010
We discuss the general formalism for the calculation in light-cone quark models of the fully unintegrated, off-diagonal quark-quark correlator of the nucleon.

Quark Wigner distributions using light-front wave functions

open access: yes, 2017
The quasiprobabilistic Wigner distributions are the quantum mechanical analog of the classical phase-space distributions. We investigate quark Wigner distributions for a quark state dressed with a gluon, which can be thought of as a simple composite and ...
