"Effect of p-aminosalicylic acid rare earth complex on aging resistance of natural rubber"

open access: yesHecheng xiangjiao gongye
Natural rubber (NR) vulcanizates were prepared using rare earth antioxidants, such as lanthanum aminosalicylate (PAS-La), cerium aminosalicylate (PAS-Ce), lanthanum and cerium aminosalicylate (PAS-La-Ce), and hindered phenolic antioxidant 2246 ...

Output Properties of Transparent Submount Packaged FlipChip Light-Emitting Diode Modules

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2016
Flip chip technology has been widely adopted in modern power light-emitting diode (LED) fabrications and its output efficiency is closely related to the submount material properties. Here, we present the electrical, optical and thermal properties of flip

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Effect of chip spacing on light extraction for light-emitting diode array

open access: yesOptics Express, 2015
GaN LED array in packaging is important for the demand of high optical flux. In order to tighten the whole packaging size, the spacing among LED chips becomes an important factor in the packaging design. This study is to investigate the change of the light extraction when a GaN LED chip array packaging is applied.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
