Testing Equality of Several Correlation Matrices

open access: yesRevista Colombiana de Estadística, 2013
In this article we show that the Kullbacks statistic for testing equality of several correlation matrices may be considered a modified likelihood ratio statistic when sampling from multivariate normal populations.

Robustness Evaluation in Sequential Testing of Composite Hypotheses

open access: yesAustrian Journal of Statistics, 2016
The problem of sequential testing of composite hypotheses is considered. Asymptotic expansions are constructed for the conditional error probabilities and expected sample sizes under “contamination” of the probability distribution of observations.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

On the Distribution of Likelihood Ratio Test Statistics for Cointegration Rank

open access: yesEconometric Reviews, 2004
Abstract This paper analyses the likelihood ratio test for the hypothesis of reduced cointegration rank in a Gaussian vector autoregressive model. The usual asymptotic distribution typically gives rather large size distortions. This is explained by the fact that the asymptotic distribution of the likelihood ratio test statistic varies across the ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Multinomial goodness-of-fit: large sample tests with survey design correction and exact tests for small samples [PDF]

open access: yes
A new Stata command called -mgof- is introduced. The command is used to compute distributional tests for discrete (categorical, multinomial) variables. Apart from classic large sample $\chi^2$-approximation tests based on Pearson's $X^2$, the likelihood ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

INVESTIGATING POPULATION BALANCE IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA USING SPATIAL CLUSTERING [PDF]

open access: yesریاضی و جامعه
Identification of population ratio disruption in the population structure is one of the challenges that every country faces. Population aging is a kind of demographic abnormality that lack of attention causes population problems.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
