Immune-enhancing effects of polysaccharides extracted from Lilium lancifolium Thunb

International Immunopharmacology, 2017
Lilium lancifolium Thunb. is a Chinese traditional plant with various health benefits. In this study, we purified and characterized the water-soluble polysaccharide fraction (LLP-1A) of L. lancifolium. We also investigated the in vitro immune-enhancing activity of LLP-1A in macrophages and the underlying molecular mechanism.

Mechanism of exogenous cytokinins inducing bulbil formation in Lilium lancifolium in vitro

Plant Cell Reports, 2020
The cytokinin pathway promotes the initiation of bulbil formation, and iPA may an important type of cytokinin during bulbil formation in Lilium lancifolium. Bulbils are important vegetative reproductive organs in triploid Lilium lancifolium. We previously showed that cytokinins are involved in bulbil formation, but how cytokinins participate in bulbil ...

Protective effects of polysaccharides from Lilium lancifolium on streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2014
In this study, the protective effect of Lilium lancifolium polysaccharides (LLP) on streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic mice and possible mechanism were investigated. The diabetic mice were administered with LLP for 28 days. The results showed that oral administration of LLP could significantly decrease blood glucose level and increase body weight ...
