Skeletal pathologies in extant crocodilians as a window into the paleopathology of fossil archosaurs
Abstract Crocodilians, together with birds, are the only extant relatives to many extinct archosaur groups, making them highly important for interpreting paleopathological conditions in a phylogenetic disease bracketing model.
