On-line subspace identification

2001 European Control Conference (ECC), 2001
In this paper a recursive technique, based on the subspace state space identification methods, is presented for identification of time-varying systems. The main idea was to develop an iterative algorithm with most of the advantages of this kind of methods in order to deal with real-time applications and minimize the computational burden.

An algorithm for line intersection identification

Pattern Recognition, 1981
Abstract An algorithm for identifying line intersection is presented.(1) The algorithm has been implemented on a microprocessor system for evaluation of the complexity of nerve structures. Data is entered by use of a sonic pen digitizing tablet. The tablet permits tracing a projected image and entering the positional data into the microprocessor ...

Identification of immunoprecipitates in line immunoelectrophoresis

Journal of Immunological Methods, 1975
A technique has been developed for the identification of immunoprecipitates in complex line-immunoelectrophoretic patterns. It is based on localized adsorption of individual antigens by monospecific antisera. The technique is suited for the following purposes as well: (1) testing the specificity and titer of uncharacterized antisera and (2) evaluation ...

The detection and identification of lines and edges

Vision Research, 1975
Abstract The threshold for detecting the presence of a bright or dark line was compared with the threshold for being able to identify the polarity of line. The threshold for detection was only about 0.05 log units lower than the threshold for identification. A similar relation was found for the thresholds for detecting and identifying edges.

On-Line Monitoring and Identification of Bioaerosols

Analytical Chemistry, 2006
Fast analysis of bioaerosols in clean room environments is necessary in order to prevent contamination of pharmaceutical products, minimize machine downtimes, or both. The detection and identification of microbes will be carried out in several steps: After impaction of the aerosol on a surface, the particles are presorted with glancing light ...

On-line characters identification in movies

2011 9th International Workshop on Content-Based Multimedia Indexing (CBMI), 2011
Characters identification in video consists in assigning name labels to persons present in a video. We explore here the online labeling of faces in movie. Previous work such as [12, 13] demonstrated promising results on learning and classifying characters using a manually annotated learning-corpus. Some practical issues appear when applying this method
