Studies of broad emission line profiles in QSOs - I. Observed, high-resolution profiles [PDF]
High-resolution spectra of nine high-redshift QSOs are presented. The various emission line profiles of each QSO are intercompared in order to gain information on the kinematics of the emitting gas in the broad-line region (BLR).

Towards a UML Profile for Software Product Lines [PDF]
This paper proposes a UML profile for software product lines. This profile includes stereotypes, tagged values, and structural constraints and it makes possible to define PL models with variabilities. Product derivation consists in generating product models from PL models.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Intrinsic line profiles for X-ray fluorescent lines in SKIRT [PDF]
Context. X-ray microcalorimeter instruments are expected to spectrally resolve the intrinsic line shapes of the strongest fluorescent lines. X-ray models should therefore incorporate these intrinsic line profiles to obtain meaningful constraints from ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Fe XXV line profiles in colliding wind binaries [PDF]
peer reviewedStrong wind-wind collisions in massive binaries generate a very hot plasma that frequently produces a moderately strong iron line. The morphology of this line depends upon the properties of the wind interaction zone and its orientation with ...

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Molecular line profiles of collapsing gas clouds [PDF]
Emission-line profiles of the tracer molecule H2CO 140 GHz transition from gravitational core collapsing clouds in the dynamic process of forming protostars are calculated, using a simple ray-tracing radiative transfermodel.
