In the current study, we show that bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) play a role in hematopoiesis that is independent of their function in specifying ventral mesodermal fate. When BMP activity is upregulated or inhibited in Xenopus embryos hematopoietic precursors are specified properly but few mature erythrocytes are generated.

Peste des petits ruminants (PPR), a viral disease of small ruminants, was identified for the first time in Pakistan in 1991. Due to the availability of effective vaccine, FAO and OIE to set target of PPR control and eradication by 2030. The molecular signature of variation in the virus can assist in the control and eradication of a transboundary ...

Analysis of the myogenic lineage in chick embryos. IV. Effects of conditioned medium.
Differentiation; research in biological diversity, 1983Immunocytochemical analysis of small myogenic clones was used to compare the effects of fresh medium (FM) and conditioned medium (CM) on muscle differentiation. In order to compare the same population of cells, clones were initiated in FM and then switched to either new FM or to CM.

Abstract The rat thymocyte costimulating protein appears to be involved in the regulation of CD4-/CD8- thymocyte proliferation in vitro. We show that thymocyte costimulating protein is dipeptidyl peptidase IV (E.C.N.3.4.14.5) also known as CD26.

Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is a highly contagious disease affecting sheep and goats, caused by PPR virus (PPRV), a member of the genus Morbillivirus. In 2023 and 2024, on testing of suspected clinical samples for PPR received through passive surveillance of sheep and goat flocks in various states of India resulted in the documentation of 15 ...
