The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct full‐length protein initiated from a non‐canonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a long‐standing annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...

In this paper we obtain exact upper bounds for the dimensions of Lie algebras of infinitesimal affine transformations in tangent bundles with a complete lift connection in the case when the base space is a manifold equipped with a non-projective Euclidean linear connection of a special type.

On the universal connection of a system of connections
Given a system of connections on a fibred manifold, we study in detail the notion of universal connection and curvature. We compare different approaches and analyze the cases of linear, affine and principal bundles.

On Limit Sets for Geodesics of Meromorphic Connections
Meromorphic connections on Riemann surfaces originate and are closely related to the classical theory of linear ordinary differential equations with meromorphic coefficients.

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.

Algebraic theory of affine monoids
This thesis treats several aspects of affine monoids. First, we consider the structure of the set of holes of an affine monoid Q. This set is the difference between Q and its normalization.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Balanced generalized weighing matrices and their applications
Balanced generalized weighing matrices include well-known classical combinatorial objects such as Hadamard matrices and conference matrices; moreover, particular classes of BGW -matrices are equivalent to certain relative difference sets.
