This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Short-Term Load Foresting Using Combination of Linear and Non-Linear Models
Numerous short-term load forecasting models are available in the literature. However, the improvement in forecast accuracy using the combination models has yet to be analyzed on a daily rolling basis for a very long test period.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Parametric Approach with Linear Combination Technique in Land Evaluation Studies
The main aim of this study is to determine land suitability class and mapping using linear combination technique that is a parametric model. This study was carried out in Dedeli and Çetinkaya village and their near vicinity located at Bafra district of ...

Regression and Linear Combinations
Recently I’ve been helping out with a linear algebra course organized by Tai-Danae Bradley and Jack Hidary, and one of the questions that came up a few times was, “why should programmers care about the concept of a linear combination?” For those who don’t know, given vectors $ v_1, \dots, v_n$, a linear combination of the vectors is a choice of some ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Stability of convex linear combinations of continuous-time and discrete-time linear systems [PDF]
The asymptotic stability of the convex linear combination of continuous-time and discretetime linear systems is considered. Using the Gershgorin theorem it is shown that the convex linear combination of the linear asymptotically stable continuous-time ...

Identifying Linear Combinations of Ridge Functions
This paper is about an inverse problem. Let a given function \(f(\mathbf x)\) be some sum of ridge functions of the form \(\sum_{i=1}^mg_i(\mathbf a^i\cdot\mathbf x)\). We just know an upper bound on \(m\). We seek to identify the functions \(g_i\) and also to identify the directions \(\mathbf a^i\) from such limited information.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.
