The nature of solutions to linear passive complementarity systems [PDF]
Linear passive systems with complementarity conditions (as an application, one may consider linear passive networks with ideal diodes) are studied. For these systems contained in the linear complementarity class of hybrid systems, existence and uniqueness of solutions are established. Moreover, the nature of the solutions is characterized.

Optimal spine morphology for high-speed bounding in quadruped robots [PDF]
Quadrupedal animals leverage flexible spines to achieve agile locomotion, yet most robotic counterparts, like the Kemba robot, retain rigid or revolute spinal joints, limiting dynamic performance. While prior studies suggest that prismatic spines enhance

Non-smooth modelling of electrical systems using the flux approach [PDF]
The non-smooth modelling of electrical systems, which allows for idealised switching components, is described using the flux approach. The formulations and assumptions used for non-smooth mechanical systems are adopted for electrical systems using the ...

Implications of Spatial Reliability Within the Wind Sector
Distributed energy systems have gained increasing popularity due to their plethora of benefits. However, their evaluation in terms of reliability mostly concerns the time frequency domain, and, thus, merits associated with the spatial scale are often ...

Connectivity Effects on the Kinetically Controlled Supramolecular Polymerization of Linear Scaffolds
The synthesis of linear benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b’]dithiophenes (BDTs, 1a and 1b) and 4,4‐difuoro‐4‐bora‐3a,4a‐diaza‐s‐indacenes (BODIPYs, 2a and 2b), featuring modified connectivity between the central linear core and peripheral side chains, is reported.
