Renormalisation and composite operators in non-linear σ models

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1987
Abstract The renormalisation of two-dimensional non-linear σ models, without torsion, is considered when the metric g depends explicitly on both coordinates for the σ model manifold φ and the spacetime coordinates x . This allows finite local composite operators to be defined by functional differentiation of the renormalised action with respect to

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

The first-order differential isomorphisms of canonical hyperbolic equations

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Физико-математические науки
Background. To determine unknown solutions of canonical hyperbolic differential equations for functions of two variables, it seemed relevant to establish the connection of the first-order differential isomorphisms of these equations with Laplace ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Invertible Linear Ordinary Differential Operators Represented as a Composition of the Simplest Operators

open access: yesMathematics and Mathematical Modeling, 2018
This article is a sequel to the earlier articles, which describe the invertible ordinary differential operators and their generalizations. The generalizations are invertible mappings of filtered modules generated by one differentiation, and are called invertible D-operators.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
