Structural controllability of switched linear systems [PDF]

open access: yesAutomatica, 2013
This paper studies the structural controllability of a class of uncertain switched linear systems, where the parameters of subsystems state matrices are either unknown or zero. The structural controllability is a generalization of the traditional controllability concept for dynamical systems, and purely based on the interconnection relation between the

Unraveling Mycobacterium tuberculosis acid resistance and pH homeostasis mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mycobacterium tuberculosis exhibits a remarkable resilience to acid stress. In this Review, we discuss some of the molecular mechanisms and metabolic pathways used by the tubercle bacilli to adapt and resist host‐mediated acid stress. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) is a successful pathogen that has developed a variety of strategies to survive and ...

Optimized Iterative Learning Control for Linear Discrete-Time-Invariant Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, an optimized first-order iterative learning control (OILC) scheme is explored for a class of linear discrete-time-invariant systems with Markov parameters available and the system relative degree being unity.

Affine projection‐like optimal control of UIPC in networked microgrids with controllable loads

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2023
The upcoming generation of power systems would be outlined as a system of systems in which many AC and DC microgrids are interconnected to exchange power in a controlled manner.

Controllability and observability of coordinated linear systems

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2012
AbstractThis paper develops concepts of controllability and observability for the class of coordinated linear systems, a special class of linear hierarchical systems with a top-to-bottom information structure. The usual concepts of reachability and indistinguishability for linear systems are refined, taking into account the decentralized nature of ...

Unconventional mRNA processing and degradation pathways for the polycistronic yrzI (spyTA) mRNA in Bacillus subtilis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The S1025 peptide is the major antidote to the YrzI toxin, which we renamed here as SpyT (Small Peptide YrzI Toxin) and SpyA (Small Peptide YrzI Antitoxin) (1). Degradation of the toxin–antitoxin spyTA mRNA, either by a translation‐dependent cleavage by the endoribonuclease Rae1 (2) or by direct attack by 3′‐exoribonucleases (3), also contributes to ...

Learning-Gain-Adaptive Iterative Learning Control to Linear Discrete-Time-Invariant Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
For a class of repetitive linear discrete-time-invariant systems with the unit relative degree, a learning-gain-adaptive iterative learning control (LGAILC) mechanism is exploited, for which the iteration-wise performance index is to maximize the ...

Refining the NaV1.7 pharmacophore of a class of venom‐derived peptide inhibitors via a combination of in silico screening and rational engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Venom peptides have shown promise in treating pain. Our study uses computer screening to identify a peptide that targets a sodium channel (NaV1.7) linked to chronic pain. We produced the peptide in the laboratory and refined its design, advancing the search for innovative pain therapies.

Mathematical models and algorithms for multi-agent control systems

open access: yesDoklady Belorusskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta informatiki i radioèlektroniki, 2019
The linear position control algorithms for multi-agent systems are described. The algorithms use a minimum of prior information and spread of these algorithms to the multidimensional case. The methods take into account the external impacts.

LQ Control for Coordinated Linear Systems

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2014
Coordinated linear systems are a special class of hierarchical linear systems, with a strict top-to-bottom information structure. The LQ problem over all structure-preserving static state feedbacks is discussed. The overall control problem separates into conditionally independent subproblems, a numerical approach to their solution is derived, and the ...
