A multiple seed linear feedback shift register

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1992
The authors describe a design of an LFSR (linear feedback shift register) that can easily accommodate a change-of-seeds feature. This new LFSR is controlled by two separate clocks, one for the normal LFSR operation and one for the change of seeds option.

Error Analysis of Linear-Feedback Shift Registers

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1984
Based on a Walsh-function representation of shift registers, a method for analyzing the output errors due to random noise is presented. The transient and steady-state behavior at the output of a linear-feedback shift register with respect to stochastic noise inputs is examined. An example is included.

Specified sequence linear feedback shift registers

International Journal of Systems Science, 1975
This paper is concerned with the design of specified sequence linear feedback shift registers. Given a linear shift register sequence of maximum length or otherwise, three methods are described to determine the logical structure of the corresponding feedback shift register.

LDPC Encoder Based Linear Feedback Shift Register Structure

Advanced Science and Technology Letters, 2014
The non-rule circulates LDPC code is the core of the forward-acting error correction code of our country digital television broadcasts in ground DTMB transmission standard. In view of sub block characteristic of this LDPC code generates matrix. It has designed a kind of LDPC encoder based on the linear feedback shift register structure to achieve the ...

Linear Feedback Shift Registers

2013
Linear Feedback Shift Registers (LFSRs) have nice statistical properties and a well developed theory. They are also cheap and fast. This makes them attractive as basis for ciphers. In this chapter we will review the part of the theory we will need. A focus lies on the algorithmic parts.

Improving linear feedback shift registers using similarity transformations

2015 IEEE Dallas Circuits and Systems Conference (DCAS), 2015
Linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs) are an important component of numerous applications as a source of low cost pseudo-random numbers. The quality of pseudo-random numbers generated by LFSRs, however, is seldom sufficient to meet the requirements of the applications, necessitating the use of additional hardware to improve LFSR performance.

Ring Generator: An Ultimate Linear Feedback Shift Register

Computer, 2011
Ring generators are high-performance linear feedback shift registers capable of handling pseudorandom and deterministic binary sequences. They outperform all traditional solutions by providing an unprecedented speed of operations and a layout-friendly structure.

TSPC Based Dynamic Linear Feedback Shift Register

2015
A Low power-Linear Feedback Shift register (LP-LFSR) with encoding technique is proposed. The LP-LFSR is a low power pseudo random sequence generator, designed using the True Single Phase Clock (TSPC) and gray encoding technique. It offers very high speed even while working with low power, less area and reduced clock-skew problems.

Signature analysis with non-linear feedback shift registers

Proceedings. 'Meeting the Tests of Time'., International Test Conference, 2003
The use of nonlinear feedback shift registers (NLFSRs) in the design of signature analyzers (SAs) was investigated. It is shown that SAs with arbitrarily low values of error-escape probability and requiring less hardware than their linear feedback shift register (LFSR) counterparts are feasible and systematically realizable. >
