Extended class of linear feedback shift registers [PDF]
Shift registers with linear feedback are frequently used. They owe their popularity to very well developed theoretical base. Registers with feedback of prime polynomials are of particular practical importance. They are willingly applied as test sequence generators and test response compactors.

Using permutation function and the Bank of LFSR's in pseudo random generator keys
In this paper a Bank of Linear Feedback Shift Registers (LFSR) is used to design and build a system for cryptography. This algorithm consists of 16 Linear Feedback Shift Registers.

Construction de Bruijn sequence based on whole LFSR with 4 cycles
In order to improve the construction efficiency and widen the application depth of cycle-joining method, from the view of the number of cycles in the cycle structure, a method for constructing de Bruijn sequence based on whole LFSR with 4 cycles was ...

Linear feedback shift registers as vector quantisationcodebooks
Linear feedback shift registers with fixed initial conditions can be used as codebooks for vector quantisation data compression methods, avoiding the need to store codebooks at the encoder and decoder. Suboptimal search procedures can be used to effectively search the codebook space with lower complexity, with only modest coding performance penalties.

Privacy amplification is an indispensable procedure to share secure secret key between legitimate parties in quantum key distribution (QKD) because a portion of bits are still leaked to eavesdropper Eve after the secret reconciliation. Here, we propose a

A New, Fast Pseudo-Random Pattern Generator for Advanced Logic Built-In Self-Test Structures
Digital cores that are currently incorporated into advanced Systems on Chip (SoC) frequently include Logic Built-In Self-Test (LBIST) modules with the Self-Test Using MISR/Parallel Shift Register Sequence Generator (STUMPS) architecture.

Note on Marsaglia\'s Xorshift Random Number Generators
Marsaglia (2003) has described a class of Xorshift random number generators (RNGs) with periods 2n - 1 for n = 32, 64, etc. We show that the sequences generated by these RNGs are identical to the sequences generated by certain linear feedback shift ...

Subthreshold Region based Linear Feedback Shift Register
Growing demand for portable devices and fast increases in complexity of chip cause power dissipation is an important parameter. Power consumption and dissipation or generations of more heat possess a restriction in the direction of the integration of more transistors.
