Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer
Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).

Two Stochastic Volatility Processes - American Option Pricing [PDF]
In this paper we consider the pricing of an American call option whose underlying asset dynamics evolve under the influence of two independent stochastic volatility processes of the Heston (1993) type.

[[alternative]]Integral Points on Elliptic Curves [PDF]
[[abstract]]Let E be an elliptic curve over Q. A well-known theorem of Siegel asserts that the number of integral points on E is finite. So, for a given elliptic curve E over Q, it would be interesting to find all the integral points.

The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

ON THE NAGELL-LJUNGGREN EQUATION (Analytic Number Theory : Distribution and Approximation of Arithmetic Objects) [PDF]
We show that there exists an effective upper bound for the solutions to the Nagell-Ljunggren equation of the form --=y^{q} in 4 unknowns in integers x>1, y>1, m>2, q>1, when x is a cube of an integer.

Ergodic properties of sets defined by the frequencies of digits [PDF]
Let ξ1,ξ2,. . . be a random sequence of r-ary digits, r ∈ N\{1}, connected into an ergodic Markov chain. Let β > 1 be an algebraic number such that the ratio log β/log r is irrational.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...
