Computing all integer solutions of a genus 1 equation [PDF]

open access: yes
The Elliptic Logarithm Method has been applied with great successto the problem of computing all integer solutions of equations ofdegree 3 and 4 defining elliptic curves. We extend this methodto include any equation f(u,v)=0 that defines a curve of genus

Preoperative circulating tumor cells integrated with imaging analysis for prognostic evaluation in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...

Étude du cas rationnel de la théorie des formes linéaires de logarithmes. (French) [Study of the rational case of the theory of linear forms in logarithms] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Version définitive.International audienceWe establish new measures of linear independence of logarithms on commutative algebraic groups in the so-called \emph{rational case}.

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

Explicit lower bounds for linear forms in two logarithms [PDF]

open access: yesJournal de théorie des nombres de Bordeaux, 2008
We give an explicit lower bound for linear forms in two logarithms. For this we specialize the so-called Schneider method with multiplicity described in [10]. We substantially improve the numerical constants involved in existing statements for linear forms in two logarithms, obtained from Baker’s method or Schneider’s method with ...

Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

Mock-Modular Forms of Weight One [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this thesis, we will study mock-modular forms of weight one and their Fourier coefficients. In particular, we will concentrate on the mock-modular forms whose shadows are dihedral newforms arising from ray class group characters of imaginary quadratic

On the exponential Diophantine equation (18m(2 )+1)(x) + (7m(2)-1)(y) = (5m)(z) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Let m be a positive integer. We show that the exponential Diophantine equation (18m(2) + 1)(x) + (7m(2) - 1)(y) = (5m)(z) has only the positive integer solution (x, y, z) = (1, 1, 2) except for m 23, 47, 63, 87 (mod 120) . For m not equivalent to 0 (mod

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

On the Kernel of the Symbol Map for Multiple Polylogarithms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The symbol map (of Goncharov) takes multiple polylogarithms to a tensor product space where calculations are easier, but where important differential and combinatorial properties of the multiple polylogarithm are retained.
