Sampling Theorems Associated with Offset Linear Canonical Transform by Polar Coordinates

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
The sampling theorem for the offset linear canonical transform (OLCT) of bandlimited functions in polar coordinates is an important signal analysis tool in many fields of signal processing and optics.

Transforming logarithmic to linear convergence by interpolation

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 1999
We propose to map logarithmically converging sequences to linearly converging sequences using interpolation. After this, convergence acceler- ators for linear convergence become effective. The interpolation approach works also if only relatively few members of the problem sequence are known, contrary to several other approaches.

Association of high‐dose radioactive iodine therapy with PPM1D‐mutated clonal hematopoiesis in older individuals

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In thyroid cancer patients, high‐dose (≥7.4 GBq) radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) was associated with a higher prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis (variant allele frequency >2%) in individuals aged ≥50 years (OR = 2.44). In silico analyses showed that truncating PPM1D mutations conferred a selective advantage under these conditions.

Evaluation of rock burst tendency of coal seam based on Hamming distance method

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2016
In allusion to shortcomings of current evaluation methods about rock burst tendency of coal seam, a model was built for comprehensively evaluating rock burst tendency of coal seam on basis of Hamming distance theory.

A Smoothening Method for the Piecewise Linear Interpolation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2015
We propose a method to smoothen a piecewise linear interpolation at a small number of nodes on a bounded interval. The method employs a sigmoidal type weight function having a property that clusters most points on the left side of the interval toward 0 and those on the right side toward 1. The proposed method results in a noninterpolatory approximation

Exploring the role of cyclin D1 in the pathogenesis of multiple myeloma beyond cell cycle regulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cyclin D1 overexpression altered the cell adhesion pathway, while cyclin D2 upregulation had less impact on pathway enrichment analysis. Multiple myeloma (MM) patients with cyclin D1 overexpression showed reduced CD56 expression and increased circulating tumor cells (CTC) levels, suggesting that cyclin D1 may contribute to MM cell dissemination ...
