Generalized Quadratic Linearization of Machine Models [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2011
In the exact linearization of involutive nonlinear system models, the issue of singularity needs to be addressed in practical applications. The approximate linearization technique due to Krener, based on Taylor series expansion, apart from being applicable to noninvolutive systems, allows the singularity issue to be circumvented.

Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Investigation and Analysis of Force Production Mechanism for Partitioned Stator Flux Reversal Permanent Magnet Linear Machine [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2018
In this paper, the force production mechanism in partitioned stator flux reversal permanent magnet (PS-FRPM) linear machine will be investigated. Since the PS-FRPM linear machine has both armature windings and the permanent magnet (PM) in one machine ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Time efficient variants of Twin Extreme Learning Machine

open access: yesIntelligent Systems with Applications, 2023
Twin Extreme Learning Machine models can obtain better generalization ability than the standard Extreme Learning Machine model. But, they require to solve a pair of quadratic programming problems for this.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Study of the influence of technological processes on the breaking of any fibers

open access: yesАлматы технологиялық университетінің хабаршысы, 2021
In this work, research has been carried out on changes in the linear density of bast fibers during processing on a hammer, clog and carding machine. Physical and mechanical properties of fibers before and after processing are determined. According to the

Infinite linear sequential machines

open access: yesJournal of Computer and System Sciences, 1968
AbstractLinear sequential machines (LSM's for short) are considered over arbitrary fields. Various finiteness conditions are given for, sequential machines and LSM's with these properties are characterized. It is shown that the set of all input/output pairs characterizes an LSM. The effect on realizations of varying the ground field is studied.

Linear Model Predictive Control of Induction Machine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This article presents new control algorithm for induction machine based on linear model predictive control (MPC). Controller works in similar manners as field oriented control (FOC), but control is performed in stator coordinates.
