Design and Analysis of a Linear Electric Generator for Harvesting Vibration Energy
This paper provides a proof of concept for a linear electric generator that can be used to harvest energy from various sources of linear motion, such as vibrations, free-piston engines and wave energy.

Linear logic [\textit{J.-Y. Girard}, ibid. 50, 1-102 (1987; Zbl 0625.03037)] provides a refinement of functional programming and suggests a new implementation technique, with the following features: - a synthesis of strict and lazy evaluation, - a clean semantics of side effects, - no garbage collector.

There is an increasing interest in achieving global climate change mitigation targets that target environmental protection. Therefore, electric vehicles (as linear metros) were developed to avoid greenhouse gas emissions, which negatively impact the ...

AbstractThe analogy of the Krohn-Rhodes theory of finite state machines is developed for linear positive machines with inputs from a commutative Banach algebra with involution. The notion of prime machine in this context is shown to correspond maximal ideal in the input algebra.

Infinite linear sequential machines
AbstractLinear sequential machines (LSM's for short) are considered over arbitrary fields. Various finiteness conditions are given for, sequential machines and LSM's with these properties are characterized. It is shown that the set of all input/output pairs characterizes an LSM. The effect on realizations of varying the ground field is studied.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Synchronized product of linear bounded machines [PDF]
This paper introduces a class of graphs associated to linear bounded machines. It is shown that this class is closed, up to observational equivalence, under synchronized product. The first-order theory of these graphs is investegated and shown to be undecidable. The latter result extends to any logic in which the existence of sinks may be stated.

ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

Investigation and Analysis of Force Production Mechanism for Partitioned Stator Flux Reversal Permanent Magnet Linear Machine [PDF]
In this paper, the force production mechanism in partitioned stator flux reversal permanent magnet (PS-FRPM) linear machine will be investigated. Since the PS-FRPM linear machine has both armature windings and the permanent magnet (PM) in one machine ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
