Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

"A regression error specification test (RESET) for generalized linear models". [PDF]
Generalized linear models (GLMs) are generalizations of linear regression models, which allow fitting regression models to response data that follow a general exponential family.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Robust MM-Estimation and Inference in Mixed Linear Models [PDF]
Mixed linear models are used to analyse data in many settings. These models generally rely on the normality assumption and are often fitted by means of the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) or the restricted maximum likelihood estimator (REML). However,

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Markov Boundary Discovery with Ridge Regularized Linear Models
Ridge regularized linear models (RRLMs), such as ridge regression and the SVM, are a popular group of methods that are used in conjunction with coefficient hypothesis testing to discover explanatory variables with a significant multivariate association ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Forecasting industrial production with linear, nonlinear, and structural change models
We compare the forecasting performance of linear autoregressive models, autoregressive models with structural breaks, self-exciting threshold autoregressive models, and Markov switching autoregressive models in terms of point, interval, and density ...
