Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Efficient Regression in Time Series Partial Linear Models [PDF]
This paper studies efficient estimation of partial linear regression in time series models. In particular, it combines two topics that have attracted a good deal of attention in econometrics, viz.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Linear statistical models in psychology
Different kinds of linear regressions are useful in solving a wide range of problems encountered in psychology and other areas of empirical research. Procedures belonging to this family find their application in the processing of experimental data, in the analysis of questionnaire surveys and, for example, in the development of test norms. This text is

Robust MM-Estimation and Inference in Mixed Linear Models [PDF]
Mixed linear models are used to analyse data in many settings. These models generally rely on the normality assumption and are often fitted by means of the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) or the restricted maximum likelihood estimator (REML). However,

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Bayesian outliers functions for linear models. [PDF]
This paper introduces two new diagnostic tools: the Bayesian outlier curve (BOC) and the Sequential Bayesian outlier curve (SEBOC). Both are built using the posterior odds for every possible number of outliers in a scale contaminated linear model.

Assessing identification risk in survey microdata using log-linear models [PDF]
This article considers the assessment of the risk of identification of respondents in survey microdata, in the context of applications at the United Kingdom (UK) Office for National Statistics (ONS). The threat comes from the matching of categorical 'key'

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
