The Behavioral Approach to Linear Parameter-Varying Systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2011Linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems are usually described in either state-space or input-output form. When analyzing system equivalence between different representations it appears that the time-shifted versions of the scheduling signal (dynamic dependence) need to be taken into account.

Linear Parameter-Varying System Identification
2011This review volume reports the state-of-the-art in Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) system identification. Written by world renowned researchers, the book contains twelve chapters, focusing on the most recent LPV identification methods for both discrete-time and continuous-time models, using different approaches such as optimization methods for input ...

Linear Parameter-Varying Control of Complex Mechanical Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2014In standard linear fractional representation (LFR)-based linear parameter-varying (LPV) modeling the size of the (diagonal) scheduling block depends on the number of scheduling parameters and their repetitions, which in turn influences both the complexity of synthesis conditions and the computational load during online implementation of LPV controllers.

Analysis of hybrid linear parameter-varying systems
Proceedings of the 2003 American Control Conference, 2003., 2004This paper proposes a new hybrid linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems and investigates some characteristics of these systems. A hybrid LPV system is defined by a ser of LPV systems and average dwell-time as a model of discrete event dynamics. This system encompasses typical LPV systems and emerging hybrid systems such as reconfigurable flight control.

Linear parameter-varying descriptions of nonlinear systems
Proceedings of the 2004 American Control Conference, 2004Recent methods for gain scheduling controller design based on linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems offer a systematic way to obtain a nonlinear controller. However, the non-unique LPV description of the nonlinear system is essential for the performance of the design. In this paper, two approaches to obtain LPV descriptions are presented.

Initial Conditions in Linear Varying-Parameter Systems
Journal of Applied Physics, 1951The problem considered in this paper is that of determining the response of an initially excited linear varying-parameter system to a given input. Mathematically, this problem reduces to solving a linear differential equation (with time-dependent coefficients) subject to prescribed initial conditions.

AbstractIn this paper, we propose a new sampled‐data stabilization method for linear parameter‐varying (LPV) systems with asynchronous parameter sampling. A sampled‐parameter‐dependent controller is designed by considering the sampling of parameters as well as that of states.

On Stability of Linear Varying-Parameter Systems
Journal of Applied Physics, 1951A linear varying-parameter system is defined to be stable if and only if every bounded input produces a bounded output. It is shown that a necessary and sufficient condition for stability is that the impulsive response of the system W(t, τ) should be integrable (considered as a function τ) for all t.

Fault diagnosis of linear parameter varying systems
2015 International Conference on Innovations in Information, Embedded and Communication Systems (ICIIECS), 2015In this paper the fault tolerant control for the linear parameter varying systems is proposed with the motivation to reconfigure the control loop without retuning the nominal controller. The active fault tolerant control strategy is used in which the virtual actuator and virtual sensor blocks are added to the nominal control loop that will mask the ...
