On effective linearity of soil process models

open access: yes, 2008
There are various circumstances in which it is important to know whether we can treat a model of a soil process as linear with respect to its parameters.

A Digital Power Amplifier With Built-In AM–PM Compensation and a Single-Transformer Output Network

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Solid-State Circuits Society, 2023
This article presents a digital power amplifier (DPA) with a built-in AM–PM compensation technique and a compact single-transformer footprint. The AM–PM distortion behavior of the current-mode/voltage-mode power amplifiers (PAs) is detailed

Linearity of Calibration Curves for Analytical Methods: A Review of Criteria for Assessment of Method Reliability

open access: yes, 2018
Calibration curve is a regression model used to predict the unknown concentrations of ana- lytes of interest based on the response of the instrument to the known standards.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

High linearity microstrip bandpass filter with electronically tunable notch

open access: yes, 2013
A high linearity reconfigurable bandpass filter embedded with a tunable notch structure has been presented for future wideband wireless communication applications. A single varactor diode (BB135-NXP) is used for the purpose of tuning the notch.

Design and Analysis of a Blocker-Tolerant Gain-Boosted N-Path Receiver Using a Bottom-Plate Switched-Capacitor Technique

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems
This paper reports a wideband blocker-tolerant receiver (RX) that covers a 0.5-to-2 GHz radio frequency (RF) range. By combining the gain-boosted (GB) mixer-first low-noise amplifier (LNA) network with a bottom-plate switched-capacitor (SC) N-path filter,

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Linearity and stationarity of G7 government bond returns [PDF]

open access: yes
This study investigates the linearity and stationarity properties of government bond returns for the G7 economies. Our results from Luukkonen et al. (1988) linearity test reveal the nonlinear nature of all of the G7 bond returns.

System-Technology Co-Optimization of Multimetal Gated AlGaN/GaN HEMT for Improved RF Linearity

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society
In this work, a system-technology co-optimization (STCO) of the AlGaN/GaN multimetal gated (MMG) HEMT architecture for third-order transconductance (gm3) engineering and linearity improvement in the presence of fermi-level pinning (FLP) is reported ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
