The low cycle fatigue life of additive manufactured HAYNES® 282® superalloy was investigated for conventional and high‐productivity processing: samples of the former lasted 1400–1700 cycles, while samples of the latter failed at ~ 1200 cycles, at 760 °C and 1% strain.

Computer code to interchange CDS and wave-drag geometry formats [PDF]
A computer program has been developed on the PRIME minicomputer to provide an interface for the passage of aircraft configuration geometry data between the Rockwell Configuration Development System (CDS) and a wireframe geometry format used by ...

Some links between turtle geometry and analytic geometry
The computer language Logo facilitates the teaching of analytic geometry and calculus from the notion of curvature, through its turtle geometry facility. The author provides some theoretical basis for finding turtle geometry equivalents of familiar curves in analytic geometry, and vice versa, by some simple methods apparently previously unnoticed.

Linking geometry and algebra with GeoGebra
GeoGebra is a software package and is so named because it combines geometry and algebra as equal mathematical partners in its representations. At one level, GeoGebra can be as a dynamic geometry system like other, commercially available, software. But this is only part of the story. Another window (the algebra part of GeoGebra) provides an insight into

This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

Additive manufacturing (AM) allows great geometric freedom for lightweight components. As parts are progressively optimized exploiting potentials in AM leading in smaller material cross sections, high pressure solution treating and aging (STA) treatments show an enormous potential for strongly improving material properties.
