Chloridotris(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-κN2)(formato-κO)copper(II)–dichloridobis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-κN2)copper(II) (2/1)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2011
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu(CHO2)Cl(C5H8N2)3]2·[CuCl2(C5H8N2)2] or 2[A]·[B], contains one A molecule and one half-molecule of B, located on a centre of inversion. The CuII environments in A and B are different.

Maximal Thurston-Bennequin number of +adequate links [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
The class of +adequate links contains both alternating and positive links. Generalizing results of Tanaka (for the positive case) and Ng (for the alternating case), we construct fronts of an arbitrary +adequate link A so that the diagram has a ruling, therefore its Thurston-Bennequin number is maximal among Legendrian representatives of A.

Algebras with matchings and link Floer homology [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
We explain how to use bordered algebras to compute a version of link Floer homology. As a corollary, we also give a fast computation of the Thuston polytope for links in the three-sphere.

On the Alexandrov Topology of sub-Lorentzian Manifolds

open access: yes, 2013
It is commonly known that in Riemannian and sub-Riemannian Geometry, the metric tensor on a manifold defines a distance function. In Lorentzian Geometry, instead of a distance function it provides causal relations and the Lorentzian time-separation ...

The effect of kV imaging dose on PTV and OAR planning constraints in lung SBRT using stereoscopic/monoscopic real‐time tumor‐monitoring system

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Quantify the impact of additional imaging doses on clinical dose constraints during lung stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) treatment utilizing stereoscopic/monoscopic real‐time tumor monitoring. Materials and Methods Thirty lung SBRT patients treated with the volumetric arc therapy technique were randomly selected from the ...

Conceptual Design and Parametric Optimization of a New Multileveled Horsetail Structure for Bicycle Helmets

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView., 2023
This study aims to explore the feasibility of using a structure inspired by the features of horsetail and human spine as the potential helmet liner, targeting at mitigation of acceleration‐induced injuries. A parametric study is conducted to investigate the effect of individual geometrical variables in the design, indicating its capability to reduce ...

Linked Hom spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
In this note, we describe a theory of linked Hom spaces which complements that of linked Grassmannians. Given two chains of vector bundles linked by maps in both directions, we give conditions for the space of homomorphisms from one chain to the other to be itself represented by a vector bundle. We apply this to present a more transparent version of an

Intercusp Geodesics and Cusp Shapes of Fully Augmented Links

open access: yes, 2017
We study the geometry of fully augmented link complements in $S^3$ by looking at their link diagrams. We extend the method introduced by Thistlethwaite and Tsvietkova to fully augmented links and define a system of algebraic equations in terms of ...

Effects of cardiac motion on dose distribution during stereotactic arrhythmia radioablation treatment: A simulation and phantom study

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Cardiac motion may degrade dose distribution during stereotactic arrhythmia radioablation using the CyberKnife system, a robotic radiosurgery system. This study evaluated the dose distribution changes using a self‐made cardiac dynamic platform that mimics cardiac motion. Methods The cardiac dynamic platform was operated with amplitudes

A Variational Beam Model for Failure of Cellular and Truss‐Based Architected Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView., 2023
Herein, a versatile and efficient beam modeling framework is developed to predict the nonlinear response and failure of cellular, truss‐based, and woven architected materials. It enables the exploration of their design space and the optimization of their mechanical behavior in the nonlinear regime. A variational formulation of a beam model is presented
