Escrowed linkability of ring signatures and its applications

open access: yes, 2006
Ring signatures allow a user to sign anonymously on behalf of a group of spontaneously conscripted members. Two ring signatures are linked if they are issued by the same signer.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Anonymous and Publicly Linkable Reputation Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider reputation systems where users are allowed to rate products that they purchased previously. To obtain trustworthy reputations, they are allowed to rate these products only once. As long as they do so, the users stay anonymous. Everybody is able to detect users deviating from the rate-products-only-once policy and the anonymity of such ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Non-Interactive Plaintext (In-)Equality Proofs and Group Signatures with Verifiable Controllable Linkability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
International audienceGroup signatures are an important privacy-enhancing tool that allow to anonymously sign messages on behalf of a group. A recent feature for group signatures is controllable linkability, where a dedicated linking authority (LA) can ...

Toward privacy-accountable authentication in vehicular networks: An HQC-based context-aware linkable ring signature scheme

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences
Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) require message authentication that can preserve vehicle privacy while still enabling the detection of repeated malicious behavior.

On the Anonymity of Linkable Ring Signatures

open access: yes
Security models provide a way of formalising security properties in a rigorous way, but it is sometimes difficult to ensure that the model really fits the concept that we are trying to formalise. In this paper, we illustrate this fact by showing the discrepancies between the security model of anonymity in linkable ring signatures and the security that ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
