Genomewide linkage scan of schizophrenia in a large multicenter pedigree sample using single nucleotide polymorphisms [PDF]
A genomewide linkage scan was carried out in eight clinical samples of informative schizophrenia families. After all quality control checks, the analysis of 707 European-ancestry families included 1615 affected and 1602 unaffected genotyped individuals ...

The null distribution of likelihood-ratio statistics in the conditional-logistic linkage model
Olson’s conditional-logistic model retains the nice property of the LOD score formulation and has advantages over other methods that make it an appropriate choice for complex trait linkage mapping. However, the asymptotic distribution of the conditional-

Categorical linkage‐data analysis [PDF]
Analysis of integrated data often requires record linkage in order to join together the data residing in separate sources. In case linkage errors cannot be avoided, due to the lack a unique identity key that can be used to link the records unequivocally, standard statistical techniques may produce misleading inference if the linked data are treated as ...

Long-term storage of seeds leads to lose seed vigor with slow and non-uniform germination. Time, rate, homogeneity, and synchrony are important aspects during the dynamic germination process to assess seed viability after storage.

LINKAGE AND DUALITY OF MODULES [PDF]
Martsinkovsky and Strooker [13] recently introduced module theoretic linkage using syzygy and transpose. This generalization brings possibility of much application of linkage, especially, to homological theory of modules. In the present paper, we connect

Resultants in genetic linkage analysis
Statistical models for genetic linkage analysis of k-locus diseases are k-dimensional subvarieties of a (3^k-1)-dimensional probability simplex. We determine the algebraic invariants of these models with general characteristics for k=1, in particular we recover, and generalize, the Hardy-Weinberg curve.

Genetic linkage analysis supports the presence of two susceptibility loci for alcoholism and heavy drinking on chromosome 1p22.1-11.2 and 1q21.3-24.2 [PDF]
Background: In order to confirm a previous finding of linkage to alcoholism on chromosome 1 we have carried out a genetic linkage study. Methods: DNA from eighteen families, densely affected by alcoholism, was used to genotype a set of polymorphic ...

Autosomal Dominant Hypercholesterolemia (ADH) is a genetic disorder caused by pathogenic variants in LDLR, APOB, PCSK9 and APOE genes. We sought to identify new candidate genes responsible for the ADH phenotype in patients without pathogenic variants in ...

A genetic linkage map of Venturia inaequalis, the causal agent of apple scab [PDF]
Background Venturia inaequalis is an economically-important disease of apple causing annual epidemics of scab worldwide. The pathogen is a heterothallic ascomycete with an annual cycle of sexual reproduction on infected apple leaf litter, followed by ...
