Bayesian Multilocus Linkage Mapping

1988
The construction of mammalian genetic maps entails finding solutions to a number of distinct but interrelated problems. First, linkage to the correct chromosome and chromosomal region must be established, and linkage to other chromosomal regions must be excluded.

Five new linkage groups in the canine linkage map

Animal Genetics, 1999
Nineteen further polymorphic loci were typed on the DogMap reference panel. Five new linkage groups were identified. Additionally, five markers were added to earlier defined linkage groups. Three of the new linkage groups contain markers mapped earlier to specific dog chromosomes by physical mapping.

LINKAGE MAP IN KIWIFRUIT: THE CHOICE OF MAPPING POPULATIONS

Acta Horticulturae, 2003
A genetic map of kiwifruit (Actinidia spp.) was constructed using microsatellite and AFLP markers and the pseudo-test-cross mapping strategy. Some 105 microsatellite loci, of the 251 isolated from A. chinensis, segregated in the interspecific cross A. chinensis x A. callosa in a 1:1 ratio or in a ratio that could mimic the classical backcross, and were

Linkage Disequilibrium Maps and Disease-Association Mapping

2007
Over the last few years, association mapping of disease genes has developed into one of the most dynamic research areas of human genetics. It focuses on identifying functional polymorphisms that predispose to complex diseases. Population-based approaches are concerned with exploiting linkage disequilibrium (LD) between single-nucleotide polymorphism ...
