Somatic embryogenesis, organogenesis and callus growth kinetics of flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) [PDF]
The effects of plant growth regulators (PGR) on calli induction, morphogenesis and somatic embryogenesis of flax were studied. The organogenic and callus formation capacity were assessed for different types of source explants.

Pollination requirements of linseed (Linum usitatissimum)
SUMMARYThe phenology of anthesis, anther dehiscence, fertilization and petal fall in the linseed cultivar Antares and its response to supplementary pollination when grown in a glasshouse were investigated. Anthesis commenced 15–30 min after the onset of the photophase and was complete within 2 h.

Flaxseed (Linum usitatissimum) Oil Extraction Using Different Solvents
This work aims at characterizing linseed oil obtained using different extraction methods (hexane, subcritical propane and pressurized ethanol), and comparing the results with commercial linseed oil extracted by cold mechanical press method. An experimental design helped to evaluate temperature and pressure effects on the oil extraction using propane ...
