Enveloped artificial viral capsids self-assembled from anionic beta-annulus peptide and cationic lipid bilayer [PDF]

open access: yes
Anionic artificial viral capsids were self-assembled from β-annulus-EE peptide, then complexed with lipid-bilayer-containing cationic lipids via electrostatic interaction to form enveloped artificial viral capsids.

Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...

Gellan Gum Fluid Gel System for Controlled‐Delivery of Cytokine‐Licensed MSC‐EVs to Enhance Corneal Repair in Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Gellan gum fluid gel (FG) enables controlled ocular delivery of mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EV). Its shear‐thinning, solid‐liquid‐solid rheology ensures prolonged ocular retention. Sustained MSC‐EV release (∼18% in 6 hrs) supports effective EV ocular delivery.

Therapeutic Extracellular Vesicles from Synovial Fibroblast‐Primed MSCs for Osteoarthritis Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
EVs derived from the microenvironment of SFs transferred MSCs (miSF‐MSC‐EVs) enhanced the expression of miRNAs that regulate cell migration, cell adhesion, and the TGF‐β signaling pathway, demonstrating superior anti‐inflammatory and cartilage regeneration effects compared to conventional MSC‐EVs.

Molecular Dynamics Investigation of Lipid-Specific Interactions with a Fusion Peptide

open access: yesBiomolecules
The HIV-1 fusion peptide, which is a short hydrophobic peptide from the gp41 coat glycoprotein that participates in the infection of a cell, interacts with model lipid bilayer membranes in a concentration-dependent manner.

Temporal Immune and Metabolic Shifts Drive the Anti‐Tumor Efficacy of Resiquimod‐Loaded Nanoparticles in Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Peritoneal carcinomatosis is a hard‐to‐treat spread of abdominal cancers that often returns after therapy. Nanoparticles were developed to retain an immune‐boosting drug in the abdomen. When combined with chemotherapy in mice, this approach eliminated tumors in many cases and prevented recurrence, helping the immune system mount a stronger, longer ...
