Vascular Reconstruction in Extremity Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review and Single‐Arm Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The management of extremity soft tissue sarcomas (STS) involving major vessels presents unique challenges, historically leading to amputation. Advances in vascular reconstruction have enabled limb‐sparing surgery (LSS), but outcomes and perioperative risks remain uncertain.

Hubungan Ekspresi Ki-67 dengan Grading Histopatologi Liposarkoma

open access: yesMajalah Kedokteran Bandung, 2013
Liposarcoma, a malignant tumor of mesenchymal origin, was one of the most common sarcomas of adults and occurs primarily in the fifth through seventh decades of life. The occurrence in children was rare.

Spatially fractionated radiotherapy versus conventional radiotherapy in the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma: A multicenter, prospective, phase II, randomized controlled clinical trial protocol

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
The first randomized controlled trial comparing spatially fractionated radiotherapy (SFRT) with conventional radiotherapy (CRT) for soft tissue sarcoma (STS) will evaluate efficacy and safety, offering critical evidence to optimize treatment strategies.

Dedifferentiated Liposarcoma in the Spermatic Cord Finally Diagnosed at 7th Resection of Recurrence: A Case Report and Bibliographic Consideration

open access: yesCase Reports in Oncology, 2017
Liposarcoma in the spermatic cord is infrequent, and accurate diagnosis of histopathological subtype is often difficult in spite of the importance of differential diagnosis for adequate treatment.

Breast liposarcoma

open access: yesJournal of the Belgian Society of Radiology, 2010
Liposarcoma of the breast constitutes 1% of all malignant breast tumors. We report the case of a 42-year-old woman presented with a 5 cm-mass in the left breast. Mammography, ultrasonography and MRI showed a non-specific appearance and the histological evaluation was necessary for definitive diagnosis.

Genomic Profiling of Pediatric Solid Tumors With a Dual DNA/RNA Panel: JCCG‐TOP2 Study

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
In the JCCG‐TOP2 nationwide pediatric cancer genomic profiling study, 204 patients' tumors and peripheral blood from 50 institutions across Japan were successfully analyzed using a dual DNA/RNA panel. A total of 147 (72%) had potentially actionable findings, including diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic findings in 111 (54%), 61 (30%), and 64 (31%),

Acral Mesenchymal Spindle Cell Neoplasm With a Novel HMGA2::NCOA2 Fusion

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Molecular profiling has revolutionized the field of soft tissue pathology, enhancing diagnostic precision and treatment strategies. The integration of molecular analysis and immunohistochemistry has been crucial for classifying diagnostically challenging acral mesenchymal neoplasms.

Giant mesenteric myxoid liposarcoma: Challenges of diagnosis and treatment

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2022
Myxoid liposarcoma is the most frequent form of liposarcoma, frequently localized in the extremities. Abdominal liposarcomas more commonly arise from the retroperitoneum. However, primary mesenteric localization is extremely rare.

Complete and safe resection of challenging retroperitoneal tumors: anticipation of multi-organ and major vascular resection and use of adjunct procedures. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
BackgroundRetroperitoneal tumors are often massive and can involve adjacent organs and/or vital structures, making them difficult to resect. Completeness of resection is within the surgeon's control and critical for long-term survival, particularly for ...

Defensive medicine in dermatological practice – Dermatopathology as a mirror of structural challenges

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Defensive medicine refers to diagnostic or therapeutic actions taken primarily to reduce legal liability rather than to benefit the patient. In dermatopathology, defensive practices manifest in frequent immunohistochemical testing, overly cautious report phrasing, and reliance on multidisciplinary tumor boards.
