Purification and Characterization of Peanut Lipoxygenase Enzime
Fat oxidation of peanut is a serious problem, because it could reduce of peanut quality and form a hydroperoxide compound. Hydroperoxide could be broken down into acid, ketone and low peptide, and resulted in volatile compounds with undersirable aroma ...

Biochemical changes of lipids in plant foods and feeds. I. Lipid hydroperoxides formation
The enzymes of the lipoxygenase pathway in plant foods are reviewed. This part analyzes the enzymes related to the formation of the lipidic hydroperoxides. Lipases and lipoxygenases in plant foods are described.

While the asexual cycle of Toxoplasma gondii can occur in any warm-blooded animal, the sexual cycle is restricted to the feline intestine. We previously determined that because cats lack delta-6-desaturase activity in their intestines, they build up ...

The manuscript confirms and expands on previous reports concerning the presence of unusual conjugated hydroxydienoic fatty acids and acetyl‐TAG in the seed oil of Securidaca longipedunculata. The location of acetate only at sn‐2 of TAG was conclusively shown by high resolution NMR and hydroxy seed fatty acids are characterized.

Quasi‐Lipoxygenase Activity of Haemoglobin [PDF]
Haemoglobin catalyses at low concentrations (0.01–1 μM) a quasi‐lipoxygenase reaction with remarkably high substrate specificity. Formation of lipohydroperoxides was demonstrated only with free 9‐cis,12‐cis‐octadecadienoic acid (Linoleic acid), its glycerol monoester, or 9‐cis,12‐cis‐octadecadienol (Linoleoyl alcohol).

Ursolic Acid Alleviates Orchitis via Modulating Ferroptosis in Peritubular Myoid Cells of Testis
Ursolic acid modulates key ferroptosis‐related pathways in the peritubular myoid cells of the testis in forest musk deer. ABSTRACT Chronic stress adversely affects reproductive health, increasing susceptibility to pathologies such as orchitis. Additionally, the maintenance of iron homeostasis is essential for preserving the function of the testicles ...
