Programmed Design of a Lithium–Sulfur Battery Cathode by Integrating Functional Units

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2019
Sulfur is considered to be one of the most promising cathode materials due to its high theoretical specific capacity and low cost. However, the insulating nature of sulfur and notorious “shuttle effect” of lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) lead to severe loss

Transient Laser‐Induced Periodic Surface Structures Revealed by Time‐Resolved EUV Diffuse Scattering

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
The study shows that femtosecond laser pulses generate transient, LIPSS‐like surface patterns at fluences far below the damage threshold. Time‐resolved extreme ultraviolet scattering captures reciprocal space features that form within a few picoseconds and vanish on sub‐nanosecond timescales.

Phase Engineering of Plasma‐Enhanced Atomic Layer Deposited Molybdenum Disulfide Using High Accuracy Direct Writing With Focused Li+ and Ga+ Ion Beams and Ultrashort Pulse Laser

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
In the context of phase heterostructures on two‐dimensional materials, a high‐precision direct writing approach is employed. This involves using a focused ion beam to transform molybdenum disulfide to the metallic 1T phase, followed by retransformation via ultrashort pulse laser processing.
