Liquid-liquid extraction of chlorophenols from wastewater using hydrophobic ionic liquids
Journal of Molecular Liquids, 2019In this work, liquid-liquid extraction of 3-chlorophenol, 2, 5-dichlorophenol, 2, 4, 6-trichlorophenol and pentachlorophenol from wastewater was conducted using five hydrophobic ionic liquids (ILs).

Molecular Forces in Liquid–Liquid Extraction
Langmuir, 2021The phase transfer of ions is driven by gradients of chemical potentials rather than concentrations alone (i.e., by both the molecular forces and entropy). Extraction is a combination of high-energy interactions that correspond to short-range forces in the first solvation shell such as ion pairing or complexation forces, with supramolecular and ...

Salt-assisted liquid-liquid extraction in micro-channel.
Journal of Separation Science, 2019In this study, for the first time salt-assisted liquid-liquid extraction was performed in a micro-channel system. The proposed design is based on the increase of contact surface area between target analytes and extracting phase during the sample and ...

Influence of Electrolytes on Liquid−Liquid Extraction
Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 1998The strong influence of electrolytes on the partition behavior of charged species is demonstrated in aqueous and aqueous−organic two-phase systems used for extraction. The effects are modeled with an extended Albertsson model which takes into account the electrostatic potential difference between coexisting phases.

LIQUID‐LIQUID EXTRACTION IN PEPTIDE SYNTHESIS
International Journal of Peptide and Protein Research, 1980An efficient procedure of peptide synthesis in solution based on liquid‐liquid extraction for the purification of intermediates (two‐phase method) is described. Generally, peptide segments of 10 and in favorable cases 15 amino acids can be prepared by using conventional blocking groups.
