Comparative Study of Free and Total Fatty Acids of Spreadable Cheeses by Mass Spectrometry Methods

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
This study focuses on the determination of FFAs in spreadable cheeses and alternatives using a fast Liquid Chromatography‐High Resolution Mass Spectrometry method. A Gas Chromatography‐Mass Spectrometry method was used to determine the composition (%) of total FAs in the same samples.

Application of liquid-phase microextraction to the analysis of trihalomethanes in water

open access: yesAnalytica Chimica Acta, 2006
A liquid-phase microextraction method for the determination of trihalomethanes (THMs) including chloroform (CHCl3), bromodichloromethane (CHBrCl2), dibromochloromethane (CHBr2Cl) and bromoform (CHBr3) in water samples was developed, with analysis by gas chromatography-electron capture detection (GC-ECD).

Micro‐QuEChERS Extraction for Broad‐Spectrum LC‐QQQ‐MS Quantification of Nitazene Analogs in Plasma: A Validated Method With Casework Application

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
Micro‐QuEChERS sample preparation coupled to LC‐QQQ‐MS enabled sensitive quantification of nitazene analogs in 100 μL of plasma. The validated method provided low detection limits and was successfully applied to an authentic intoxication case involving N‐pyrrolidino protonitazene, supporting clinical and forensic toxicology workflows.
