Application of liquid-phase microextraction to the analysis of trihalomethanes in water

open access: yesAnalytica Chimica Acta, 2006
A liquid-phase microextraction method for the determination of trihalomethanes (THMs) including chloroform (CHCl3), bromodichloromethane (CHBrCl2), dibromochloromethane (CHBr2Cl) and bromoform (CHBr3) in water samples was developed, with analysis by gas chromatography-electron capture detection (GC-ECD).

Valproic acid extraction methods in human samples for gas chromatography analysis: a review

open access: yesDrug Analytical Research
Valproic acid (VPA) is widely used as an important drug for the treatment of epilepsy, seizures, bipolar disorders, and migraines. However, its narrow therapeutic range lead to risks of unintentional poisoning and potential suicide.

Sample treatment platform for automated integration of microextraction techniques and liquid chromatography analysis

open access: yesHardwareX, 2019
Sample preparation performance influences the quality of every chemical analysis. Since it is the most labor-intensive stage in the nearly all-analytical protocols, sample preparation automation would be desirable, to increase the analytical throughput ...

Determining the distribution of triclosan and methyl triclosan in estuarine settings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We have developed a method for the analysis of two sewage-derived contaminants: triclosan (TCS), an antibacterial agent, and methyl triclosan (MTCS), a TCS metabolite.

Atmospheric pressure gas chromatography-time-of-flight-mass spectrometry (APGC-ToF-MS) for the determination of regulated and emerging contaminants in aqueous samples after stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This work presents the development, optimization and validation of a multi-residue method for the simultaneous determination of 102 contaminants, including fragrances, UV filters, repellents, endocrine disruptors, biocides, polycyclic aromatic ...

Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction - New Approach for the Determination of Some Beer Flavours.

open access: yesKvasný průmysl, 2008
For the determination of beer flavours well-established methods require sample preparation steps such as liquid/liquid extraction, solid phase extraction or distillation techniques. During the past years the microextraction procedures become popular e. g.

Application of Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction in Forensic Toxicological Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesFayixue Zazhi, 2019
Currently, the main sample pretreatment methods for forensic toxic analysis are liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) and solid-phase extraction (SPE). As a simple, convenient, and low-cost LLE method, dispersion liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) has high ...

Speciation without chromatography: Part I. Determination of tributyltin in aqueous samples by chloride generation, headspace solid-phase microextraction and inductively coupled plasma time of flight mass spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
An analytical procedure was developed for the determination of tributyltin in aqueous samples. The relatively high volatility of the organometal halide species confers suitability for their headspace sampling from the vapour phase above natural waters or

Experiences with Carrier-Mediated Transport in Liquid-Phase Microextraction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chromatographic Science, 2006
Different organic borates, phosphates, sulphates, and carboxylic acids are evaluated as extraction carriers in three-phase liquid-phase microextraction (LPME). Hydrophilic basic drugs form ion-pairs with the carriers and are extracted as ion-pair complexes into an organic liquid membrane of n-octanol or peppermint oil immobilized in the pores of a ...
