Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Experimental investigation on particle migration behaviour of dredged clays with high initial water contents under vacuum pressure

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
A vacuum consolidation model equipment is designed for performing a series of vacuum consolidation tests on two dredged clays with different liquid limits reconstituted at different initial water contents. The experimental results indicate that the ratio

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Significance of mineralogy in soil mechanics

open access: yesGeologija, 2002
The research of consistency limits according to Atterberg is of key importance in soil mechanics because it determines, in a simple way, results of interactions between solid and liquid phases in soils, and thus provides possibility to classify them in ...

A Correlation between Compaction Characteristics and Soil Index Properties for Fine-grained Soils

open access: yesPolytechnic Journal, 2019
This paper addresses the correlation between the liquid and/or plastic limits with the compaction characteristics, maximum dry density, and optimum moisture content (OMC), for fine-grained soils.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

MODEL KORELASI ANTARA INDEKS KOMPRESI CC DENGAN INDEKS BATAS CAIR LL UNTUK TANAH LEMPUNG DI SURABAYA

open access: yesCivil Engineering Dimension, 2002
This study tried to propose a correlation model between compression index,Cc, of clay with its liquid limit index, LL. A statistic probabilistic correlation model was used for Surabaya soils.

Optimization of plasmon–plasmon coupling in photorefractive layered media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we study grating-induced plasmon–plasmon coupling in photorefractive layered media using a weakcoupling approximation. The method used is applicable to general layered structures that support both plasmonic and optical modes, such as ...
