Fertilization of wheat with liquid organic fertilizers under the conditions of a pot vegetation experiment

open access: yesBulgarian Journal of Crop Science
Vegetation experiment was carried out to determine the efficiency of liquid organic fertilizers application in the initial phases of wheat development. Three types of liquid organic fertilizer with single and double application (in 14 days) were tested -”Extra force”, “Zinovii Corn” and “Zinovii Oil”. All studied fertilizers application have a positive

SiDT1 Defines Plant Architecture Reminiscent of Green Revolution in Foxtail Millet

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SiDT1 encodes a GA3‐oxidase that creates a semi‐dwarf, lodging‐resistant architecture reminiscent of the rice Green Revolution. The resulting ideotype performs well under dense planting and provides a valuable genetic resource for high‐yield, mechanized foxtail millet production. ABSTRACT Foxtail millet (Setaria italica) is a drought‐tolerant C4 cereal

Effect of spent engine oil pollution and liquid organic fertilizer application on soil chemical properties and nutrient contents of Maize (Zea Mays)

open access: yesSustinere: Journal of Environment and Sustainability
A trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of spent engine oil (SEO), bio-treated with liquid organic fertilizer, on maize plant growth. The study utilized three concentrations of SEO (0.5 and 10% w/w) and four liquid organic fertilizers (water ...

Single‐cell Transcriptome Profiling Reveals Gene Regulatory Networks and Key Genes in the Root Epidermis and Cortical Cells Associated with Early Nodulation in Glycine Max

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell transcriptomics of soybean roots soon after rhizobial inoculation reveals epidermal and cortical cell‐specific programs and gene‐regulatory networks acting in symbiosis establishment. We identify an ethylene‐driven regulatory circuit involving WRKY6.3/6.4 transcription factors targeting select Nod19 genes that promotes infection‐thread ...

A Global Methane Observation System to Reduce Uncertainty for Anthropogenic and Natural Sources and Sinks for Detecting and Attributing Climate Feedbacks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conceptual illustration of a Global Ecosystem Methane Observing System (GEM‐OS) integrating satellites, aircraft, atmospheric networks, and ecosystem measurements to quantify methane emissions from anthropogenic and natural sources. The multi‐scale observing framework improves source attribution, reduces uncertainty in regional methane budgets, and ...

Revolutionising Agricultural Sustainability: New ‘Furrow Tillage’ can Mitigate Short‐Term Soil‐to‐Atmosphere CO2 Flux and Promote Soil‐Plant‐Microbe Health

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Furrow tillage resolves the conventional‐vs.‐no‐tillage trade‐off by simultaneously cutting CO2 efflux to 2.0–3.0 g C m−2 d−1 and unlocking high nutrient availability for the rice rhizosphere. This scalable agronomic solution strengthens soil health, enhances plant physiology, reshapes microbial metabolism, and shifts paddy systems toward a net ...

A Sustainable Bio‐Based Epoxy Thermoset as a High‐Performance Alternative to BPA‐Based Resins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rigid–flexible bio‐based epoxy network integrates soybean oil, lignin, and maleic anhydride to overcome the strength–toughness–sustainability trade‐off of conventional BPA epoxy. The thermoset delivers excellent performance as both a structural adhesive and a matrix for glass‐fabric composites, while enabling pH‐responsive degradation, environmental ...
