Remarks on Life Feasibility on the Red Planet
The current strong interest in the exploration of Mars leads to the question of the actual possibility of the presence or possible past or future development of life on the planet. Several clues suggest that liquid water could be stably present under the

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Liquid water simulation using hydrogen bond corrected SCAN and neural network potentials.
Accurately reproducing the structure of liquid water with ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulation is a crucial first step on the path towards accurately predicting the properties of liquid solutions without relying on experiment.

Liquid water contains the building blocks of diverse ice phases
Molecular understanding of water is challenging due to the structural complexity of liquid water and the large number of ice phases. Here the authors use a machine-learning potential trained on liquid water to demonstrate the structural similarity of ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Residence time distribution measurements in an external-loop airlift reactor: Study of the hydrodynamics of the liquid circulation induced by the hydrogen bubbles [PDF]
A detailed study of the residence time distribution (RTD) analysis of liquid phase has been performed in an external-loop airlift reactor of 20 L nominal volume, regarded as a global unit and discriminating its different sections (riser, gas–liquid ...

Entropy-driven liquid–liquid separation in supercooled water [PDF]
Twenty years ago Poole et al. (Nature 360, 324, 1992) suggested that the anomalous properties of supercooled water may be caused by a critical point that terminates a line of liquid-liquid separation of lower-density and higher-density water. Here we present an explicit thermodynamic model based on this hypothesis, which describes all available ...

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected
