Extraction and Analysis of Liquiritin from Licorice

Journal of Liquid Chromatography & Related Technologies, 2009
Abstract The extraction conditions of liquiritin from licorice were investigated. By changing the different extraction solvents, methods, and extraction times, the optimum extraction condition was methanol as an extraction solvent, and 120 min dipping time under room temperature.

Separation of Liquiritin by Two-Dimensional Liquid Chromatography

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
Two-dimensional liquid chromatography (2DLC) is an important technology for the separation and analysis of complex samples. Liquiritin, an important active component in licorice, was chosen as the target compound and it was separated by three kinds of off-line 2DLC, i.e.

Optimization of ultrasonic extraction of liquiritin by response surface methodology

2017 Chinese Automation Congress (CAC), 2017
Dual-frequency ultrasound was used to extract liquiritin from licorice to obtain the optimum process parameters, which were ultrasonic time (A), ethanol volume ratio (B) and ultrasonic duty cycle (C). The prediction model of quadratic polynomial regression equation was obtained by Box-Behnken Design (BBD) and response surface methodology (RSM).

AN INVESTIGATION OF THE METABOLISM OF LIQUIRITIN AND THE IMMUNOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF ITS METABOLITES

Journal of Liquid Chromatography & Related Technologies, 2012
The aim of the present research is to find the influence of honey in the metabolism of liquiritin by human intestinal flora to validate the folkloric use of honey-treated licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis). The metabolites of liquiritin were analyzed by HPLC-MS/MS and FT-ICR-MS/MS.

Optimization of Separation Conditions of Liquiritin in Preparative Liquid Chromatography

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
The aim of this work was to study the separation conditions of Liquiritin (LQ) in preparative liquid chromatography. Based on the inverse method, the adsorption isotherm parameters of LQ and the closely impurities were determined. Then the chromatographic conditions were optimized by combination of orthogonal design experiments and numerical simulation.

Simultaneous determination of glycyrrhizin and liquiritin in licorice roots and Kampo medicines by combination enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using anti-glycyrrhizin and anti-liquiritin monoclonal antibodies

Journal of Immunoassay and Immunochemistry, 2016
Immunoassay systems using monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are one of the most useful techniques in the analytical, biochemical, and clinical fields. In this study, a combination enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using both anti-glycyrrhizin and anti-liquiritin mAbs (anti-GL/Liq mixture mAbs) was developed for quality control of licorice and its ...

Comparison of adsorption equilibrium of glycyrrhizic acid and liquiritin on C18 column

Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, 2010
Abstract The adsorption isotherms of glycyrrhizic acid (GA) and liquiritin (LQ) on a C18 column were compared and the competitive adsorption of the two compounds was investigated. The experimental parameters in the equilibrium isotherms were estimated by linear and nonlinear regression analyses.

A synergistic mechanism of Liquiritin and Licochalcone B from Glycyrrhiza uralensis against COPD

Phytomedicine
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a refractory respiratory disease mainly attributed to multiple pathological factors such as oxidative stress, infectious inflammation, and idiopathic fibrosis for decades. The medicinal plant Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract (ULE) was widely used to control respiratory diseases in China.
