Background/Objectives: This study aimed to develop Cheongsim Liriope platyphylla (CS) as a functional material for anti-atopic dermatitis. Methods: After extracting CS and the traditional Liriope platyphylla (CY) variety using 80% and 60% ethanol, we conducted a comparative analysis of the changes in composition via high- performance liquid ...

Dyeing and antibacterial properties of Liriope platyphylla fruit extracts on silk fabrics
Fibers and Polymers, 2017Dyeing and antibacterial properties of a natural dye extracted from Liriope platyphylla fruit applied on silk fabrics have been studied. The total phenolic content (1109.13±69.02 mg), total flavonoid content (530.60±89.44 mg), and total anthocyanin content (492.26±77.79 mg) were measured in 100 g fresh weight of L. platyphylla fruits.

The ethanolic extract of Liriope platyphylla (Liliaceae) roots showed potential oestrogenic and anti-platelet activities. Twenty-six compounds were isolated and classified as 10 skeletons, including two unusual new dihydrobenzofuroisocoumarins, (+)-platyphyllarin A (1) and B (2), one new butanoate, ethyltributanoate (3), and two new homoisoflavanones, (

Effects of Ethanol Extract of Liriope platyphylla on Allergic Inflammation
Korean Journal of Oriental Physiology & Pathology, 2014This study investegated the effect of Liriope platyphylla (LP) on allergic reactions and its mechanism of action. We investigated the effect of LP on Evans Blue (EB) extravasation induced by anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP)-IgE in rats. We tested whether the ethanol extract of LP reduced ear skin thickness and historical changes induced by topical application ...

[Studies on chemical constituents of Liriope platyphylla].
Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2008Seven chemical constituents were isolated from the CHCl3 fraction and n-BuOH fraction from EtOH ext. of Liriope platyphylla Wang et Tang. Their structures were elucidated as lupenone (I), lupeol (II), ursolic acid (III), beta-sitosterol (IV), diosgenin (V), LP-A (VI) and LP-B (VII) respectively.

Anti-Inflammatory Effects ofLiriope platyphyllain LPS-Stimulated Macrophages and Endotoxemic Mice
The American Journal of Chinese Medicine, 2016In the present study, the anti-inflammatory and antisepticemic activities of a water extract of Liriope platyphylla (LP) were investigated. We first estimated the scavenging activity of DPPH and the hydroxyl radical and total phenolic contents of LP. Results indicated that LP, a rich source of phenolic compounds, showed a remarkable radical scavenging ...
