Metabolic responses of primary and transformed cells to intracellular Listeria monocytogenes. [PDF]
The metabolic response of host cells, in particular of primary mammalian cells, to bacterial infections is poorly understood. Here, we compare the carbon metabolism of primary mouse macrophages and of established J774A.1 cells upon Listeria monocytogenes

This study established a closed‐tube LAMP‐LFD assay for detecting Rodentibacter heylii and Rodentibacter pneumotropicus. The method exhibited high sensitivity (detection limits of 10−5 ng/μL for R. heylii and 10−4 ng/μL for R. pneumotropicus), high specificity, reliable performance with clinical samples, and effective validation in experimental ...

Simultaneous Growth of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria innocua
Listeria spp. have been isolated from a wide variety of sources, and in many situations Listeria innocua is more commonly found than Listeria monocytogenes . Growth of three L. monocytogenes strains was studied when inoculated simultaneously with a rhamnose negative L. innocua strain into culture media and cheese sauce.

We developed an assay to distinguish cellular binding from internalization. Compatible with microscopy and high‐throughput screening, the method identifies ligand‐mediated uptake. Applying top candidates to a protein‐based DNA carrier enhanced transfection efficiency, providing a rational strategy to improve non‐viral gene delivery systems.

Aerosol Studies with Listeria innocua and Listeria monocytogenes
Aerosol studies of Listeria monocytogenes in food processing plants have been limited by lack of a suitable surrogate microorganism. The objective of this study was to investigate the potential of using green fluorescent protein-labeled strains of Listeria innocua as a surrogate for L. monocytogenes for aerosol studies.

Activo Liquid and Halquinol inhibit Salmonella and Escherichia coli in culture media. Activo Liquid exhibits bactericidal action, whereas HA is bacteriostatic, and their combination results in positive or indifferent interactions. This combination effectively inhibits E. coli throughout digestion simulation, thus reducing the required concentrations of
