CLONAL REGENERATION OF LITCHI (LITCHI CHINENSIS SONN.) VIA SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS
Acta Horticulturae, 2007Litchi embryogenic cultures were induced from leaflet explants in recent vegetative flushes of mature phase 'Brewster' trees on modified B5 medium containing 400 mg L -1 glutamine, 200 mg L -1 casein hydrolysate, 30 g L -1 sucrose, 3 g L -1 gellan gum, 4.52 μM 2,4-D and 9.30 μM kinetin.

Structure identification of a polysaccharide purified from litchi ( Litchi chinensis Sonn.) pulp
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2016As a health-beneficial fruit, litchi is widely accepted by people in subtropical and tropical regions. However, the critical chemicals responsible for the health benefits are not clear yet. As a large amount of polysaccharides are present in litchi, they might play an important role in the health benefits.

Multiple shoot induction and plant regeneration in litchi ( Litchi chinensis Sonn.)
Plant Cell Reports, 1999Multiple shoot induction in Litchi chinensis Sonn. (litchi) has been achieved by two methods: (1) direct germination of litchi seeds in 6-benzylaminopurine (20 mg l–1)-supplemented MS liquid medium and supported on a filter-paper bridge and (2) in planta treatment with 6-benzylaminopurine (100 μg on alternate days) of the axillary bud regions of plants

Diffusivity, shrinkage and simulated drying of litchi fruit (Litchi Chinensis Sonn.)
Journal of Food Engineering, 2010Abstract Litchi ( Litchi Chinensis Sonn .) is an important commercial fruit in Thailand and Vietnam. Litchi fruit is consumed both as fresh and dried products. Also most of the export of litchi is in the form of dried whole litchi fruit. Thermo-physical properties and drying model of litchi fruit is important for optimum design of litchi dryer.

Additional neutral volatiles from litchi (Litchi chinensis sonn.) fruit
Flavour and Fragrance Journal, 1986AbstractThe volatiles from fresh litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) fruit pulp were separated by standard controlled high‐vacuum distillation with subsequent solvent extraction (pentane‐dichloromethane, 2:1) and silica gel liquid chromatography pre‐separation using a pentane‐diethyl ether gradient.

ANTIOXIDANT CAPACITY AND PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS IN LITCHI (LITCHI CHINENSIS SONN.) PERICARP
Acta Horticulturae, 2010Phenolic contents and antioxidant activities in fruit pericarp of eight litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) cultivars ('Nuomici', 'Feizixao', 'Guiwei', 'Edanli', 'Yuhebao', 'Dingxiang', 'Wuye' and 'Lanzhu') were studied. Antioxidant activities were elucidated by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-piceyhydrazyl (DPPH) decoloration test and hydroxide free radical scavenging

Chemical constituents with antioxidant activities from litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) seeds
Food Chemistry, 2011Abstract Litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) is widely accepted as a delicious fruit in China and its seeds have been commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine to relieve neuralgic pain. In the present study, chemical investigation of the 95% ethanol extract of Litchi chinensis seeds led to the isolation of four new compounds, 2α,3α-epoxy-5,7,3′,4 ...

Litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.): In Vitro Production of Haploid Plants
1990Litchi belongs to the family Sapindaceae, and there are only two species (Chen et al. 1980). Litchi chinensis Sonn. originated in south China. It is a large tree (Fig. 1) with a height reaching 10m. There are two to four pairs of leaflets in the compound leaf.
