Stylistic Features and Creativity in Machine Translation of Literary Texts
Computer-assisted literary translation has become a trending topic of discussion with both its possible benefits and negative impact on creativity and voice. We investigate distinctive stylistic features and the degree of creativity in the outputs generated by three English–Turkish machine translation (MT) models: (1) a customized MT model trained ...

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

There seems to be a consensus that register-specific, informative texts are more suitable for automated machine translation, while form-focused texts are less so. Since there are limitations in machine translation in terms of communicative and translation competence, texts in which linguistic form, pragmatic meanings, connotations, and culture-specific
