Abstract Fairly high concentrations of magnesium and lithium are conducive to improving the osteogenic and angiogenic capacities. In the current study, lithium-containing magnesium phosphate-based ceramics (AMP/LMPGs) were prepared from amorphous magnesium phosphate (AMP) at a low sintering temperature (650 °C), and the lithium/magnesium-

Preparation and characterization of a new lithium-containing glass-ceramic
Materials Research Bulletin, 1999Abstract The aim of this study was to compare the thermal properties and microstructure of a new lithium-containing glass-ceramic to those of a dental glass-ceramic as control. The chemical composition of both control and experimental glasses was determined by electron microprobe analysis.

Electrophysical properties and electric-degradation of lithium-containing ceramics
Fusion Engineering and Design, 1991Abstract The paper is concerned with the studies of electrophysical parameters of lithium orthosilicate as a blanket material. AC and DC resistance values, dielectric constant and breakdown voltages over a range of temperatures 300–900 K are given. Breakdown process and electrolysis of the material are discussed. Electrolytic degradation mechanism of

Lithium containing silicon carbonitride ceramics (SiCN:Li) were synthesized via precursor-to-ceramic-transformation of Li-containing (poly)silazanes. The precursors were obtained by lithiation of the model compound 2,4,6-trimethyl-2,4,6-trivinylcyclotrisilazane and of a commercial poly(organosilazane) VL20® with n-butyllithium in different molar ratios.

Abstract The present paper shows that thermostimulated extraction of HTO and T 2 O from lithium ceramics Li 4 SiO 4 proceeds according to two independent mechanisms: (a) the chemidesorption of surface-localized tritiated water (chemical reaction of the first order), and (b) the diffusion of triton to a near-surface layer with subsequent formation of

Abstract Diabetes mellitus (DM) has been associated with complications that affect the skeletal system, such as alterations in bone repair, osteoporosis, and an increased risk of fractures. In this context, the use of biomaterials able to promote osteogenic differentiation and, at the same time, limit the oxidative stress induced by DM ...
